HUNTER CREEK HIKE

Hunter Creek is a great hike for all you history buffs out there. Mining cabins are scattered along the northern portion of the trail. Plus, you'll have great views of the Elk Mountains.

CATHEDRAL LAKE TRAIL

Cathedral Lake Trail is considered strenuous with the lake sitting at almost 14,000 feet. But walking through an Aspen forest and viewing a sparkling alpine lake are worth the challenge!

AMERICAN LAKE TRAIL

American Lake Trail in Aspen offers a workout, wildflowers, and an alpine lake. Rated moderate to difficult, this hike isn't easy, but sure is rewarding!

SUNNYSIDE HIKING TRAIL

If views are your motivation for hiking, Sunnyside Hiking Trail is for you. Although very challenging, you'll see Aspen Mountain, Aspen Highlands, Buttermilk and Pyramid Peak.

MOUNT SOPRIS TRAIL

Mount Sopris Trail is considered difficult and it's very important you are acclimated when taking on this hike. Expect steep, rocky sections and views for miles!

MAROON BELLS TRAIL

Maroon Bells Trail leads you to a beautiful lake that sits at around 9,500 feet. The best part about viewing the lake is you hardly have to gain any altitude, making this an easy trek for all abilities.

SMUGGLER MOUNTAIN TRAIL

If you aren't interested in climbing Mount Sopris, but want to see it... hike Smuggler Mountain Trail! Considered easy and only 3 miles, this dirt path is a perfect introduction to Aspen hiking.
